A recent graduate of James Madison University's Theatre Performance Concentration, Diego F. Salinas has established himself as a reliable emerging Latino artist, unafraid to jump headfirst in to new and challenging work. Diego has shown a remarkable talent with theatre ranging from Shakespeare to Experimental Theatre, as well as TV, film, commercials, & voice over. His passion for languages encouraged him to achieve fluency in Spanish, English, French, and Italian.

Diego has received recognition for his work in theatre and film and his resume includes many award-winning projects and world-premiere productions. He won the Richmond Theatre Critic's Circle Award for Most Promising Newcomer for his lead role as an autistic teen in the world-premiere play The Joshua Plant and has co-starred alongside Corbin Bernson and Shirley Jones on the feature-length film On The Wing.  Diego's taste for developing new work blossomed into a love for playwriting. His 10-Minute play, Horses and Cloth, has received regional and national recognition at the Region 2 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and at the Las Vegas Association for Theatre in Higher Education conference, where it received a staged reading. Diego has also tried his hand at directing, debuting his skills during a production of Ariel Dorfman's Death and the Maiden during his final semester at JMU.

When he's performing or writing you can usually find Diego playing his ukulele or trying a fresh, new dish. No matter what, Diego is always ready to dive into something new!

Diego’s unlimited imagination makes him such a gem to direct. I look forward to many more collaborations with him!

Charm? Check. Work ethic? Double check. Good human to work with? Off the charts. You need a boy next door with just a touch of imp? Hire Diego. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Diego Salinas goes beyond authentic in his performance...He not only shows a range of emotions; but does a pretty good Seinfeld impression.
